The biggest ball of string in the world weighs 9 tonnes It's True - Frank Stoeber began his ball of twine in 1953, rolling any spare bits of string into a neat ball. By 1961, when he donated it to the local town, it weighed in at 2,500 tonnes and it has since grown to a massive 9 tonnes of string as people add odds and ends !	The longest flight by a paper aeroplane lasted 27.6 seconds It's True - doesn't sound like much but that's a long time - try it !
The coldest planet in the solar system is Titan It's False - Titan is not a planet - it's Saturn's largest moon. Pluto, at 6 billion kilometres from the sun, is the coldest planet in the solar system.	The biggest frog in the world over 70 cms long? It's True . With their legs stretched out backwards the Goliath frog can measure over 70cm from its nose to it’s feet, and its eyes are the same size as a human adult.
Nylon got its name from the person who invented it It's False - Nylon got its name as it was developed in New York and london simultaneously. 'Ny' is for New York and 'lon' is for London.	There are about 5 million red blood cells in the average human It's False There are about 5 million oxygen-carrying red blood cells in each cubic millimetre (also known as a microlitre) of blood. This means that there are about 10 million million red blood cells (one followed by 13 zeros) in every one of us.
The world’s biggest slug can grow up to 15kg in weight? It's True The Californian Sea Hare is a slug-like mollusc that lives underwater in kelp forests. It can indeed grow up to nearly 1m long.	You have hairs in your nose to trap tiny particles of dust, dirt, bacteria and viruses It's False - The hairs are there to stop large things going up your nose. The tiny particles of dust and dirt, bacteria and viruses are dealt with by a sticky layer of mucus, or snot, which lines the airways and grabs hold of anything nasty.
There is alcohol in outer space It's True There are large amounts of alcohol in outer space - in fact there is a huge cloud containing 10 billion billion billion tonnes of of ethanol and methanol at the centre of our galaxy - but it's no mean feat to get there - it's over 26,000 light years away !	A man with a fear of being buried alive has made a special coffin with a built in alarm to get help in the event of being buried when not completely dead It's True - The 87 year old Frenchman's irrational fear of being buried alive stems from when he was 20 and his family had a coffin made for him, fearing he had been killed in a road accident. His designer model boasts an alarm that can be heard 500 metres away, food, and a minibar stocked with his favourite tipple - Ouzo !
