If left handed people are made to write with their right hand, will it cause confusion in the brain? I wondered whether it was a good comparison, because at the age of ten I lost my sight and went to a school for the blind. At that time we had to write with a stylus so the writing came out on the other side of the paper. We had to write from right to left in reverse letters. Diane

I'm not sure it causes confusion in the brain. It doesn't make them very happy though. It's not a nice thing to do any more than it is to make someone do anything that they wouldn't naturally do. There used to be an idea that it mixed up the circuitry in the brain, but I think the circuitry in the brain is a bit more fixed than that.
