How come the song is on the flashdrive but doesn't show up as one of my songs on my mp3 player?
It does this to a few songs, but theres this one I would really like to have to run to.
i don't see anything not right with the file, i mean it plays on my computer and is the same bit rate and everything else as all the others.
Any suggestions? thanks

Possibly the file is not in mp3 format (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_file_format#Types_of_formats): so the mp3 player cannot play it, but the computer can.
So the audio file can be stored on the flash memory in the mp3 player,
but the mp3 player does not recognise it because it is not in mp3 format.
If this is the case it is usually possible to convert the audio file into mp3 format (using computer).

nah it is.
it also reads wma files, so i tired converting it to that.. we'll see

my crystal ball tells me that your mp3 player might have a problem reading the file's name. maybe it works if you remove uncommon characters like slashes, questionmarks, or even blancs.
and RD could still be correct, because you could be dealing with an odd variant of the mp3 format. maybe your mp3 player's decoder is not as sophisticated as the one on your computer. wma files are evil and eat babies, though.
but well... what do i know. :)
