No course not you ask away. I have used Variola for a whle now, mainly because I have a interest in viruses, and I was stuck for a sign in name for a site a while back. Variola popped into my head and seemed perfect.
Plus most of my friends feel I should be locked away where I can do no harm to people anyway!! :oD

Hello Pox

I have found a picture of this old reprobate. As he is a very ancient creature, he was depicted in Roman wall mosaics.

(https://www.thenakedscientists.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi38.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fe111%2Fgeezer69%2FPanmosaic.jpg&hash=598be05efb15c369d20cf55573b77588)

He was known as Pan, Puck and by many other names. Now it is "Mountfitchett" -  Did you know this means "mountain of the polecat?" It refers to the fitch or the European polecat.

Now "Joy" is just a wonderful name with no smelly "after-effects."

Is he the one holding the basket with the man-boobs? Or the one with the unfortunate unkempt and rapidly growing pubic hair spreading down his legs?

Indeed I have heard of Pan in reference to being the God of the Shepards.
Mountfitchett is not a name I would like to try and say when I am a little squiffy..

I'll grant you that. Of course, being a student you must spend a lot of time being squiffy.

Ah, my student days - I could get a gallon of Gallo Chianti for 99 cents. What a horrible drunk that was!

And Joy, as previously discussed, came originally from France's Lunguedoc region and came in with the Romans to south Wales. It was NOT a girly name. It was and is a warrior name. Quite unlike "polecat mountain."

I feel almost virtuous.  [:I]

EASE UP - she did say "almost." No had she posted just "virtuous," that wouldn't have been true since she was probably about 13 or 14.

Are they fek. Goats don't build dams, they headbutt them.

I once got butted in the back by a goat. It was only a small one but it knocked me flat. And it hurt!
