Seems that semen is a hot topic here.
I think some steroids are derived from bovine semen and create an abundance of testosterone in the muscle man. I'm not sure if this would differ in each "donor". I know that women have a certain amount of testosterone as well, but no semen. I'm perplexed. Would different species have different amounts? Would different sexes have different amounts? Or, is there a set measurement for this?

I think I can see where supremedan is going with this...if a woman gives a man a blowjob, and semen contains lots of testosterone...there is a risk she might grow a beard, go bald, stop talking for a change and start thinking clearly !
Am I right ?

Just tell her that it's loaded with testosterone. Tell her that it's fortified with nine essential vitamins and minerals that make up half of her daily allowance and sit back and count your blessings. [:)]
Don't question a good thing!

I thought you can buy testosterone in tablet, but I think you might prefer that way. [:D]

Most chemicals will be broken down in the stomach except very simple ones. I have a feeling that testosterone is a complicated molecule. Sorry, the semen isn't actually doing your girlfriend any good :-)
Unless you inject the semen right into her bloodstream, which I wouldn't recommend :-)
Am I dead? Am I alive? I'm both!

I disagree Erin. The oral contraceptive pill, containing oestrogens, is absorbed well via the oral route. Otherwise there would be a lot of angry women out there !
Perhaps you were thinking of the problem facing the delivery to the blodstream of drugs based on proteins? Naturally these are chewed up by digestive enzymes and hence have to be given parenterally (that is, not via the gut). This is why diabetics inject insulin (a protein or peptide hormone), yet people with low thyroid function can take a pill by mouth (thyroxine is an iodinated molecule derived from the amino acid tyrosine).

Is hormone a type of protein?

A hormone is a substance which acts as a chemical messenger and affects the activity of other cells or organs. Hormones come in a variety of shapes and sizes like adrenaline - a catecholamine derived from the amino acid tyrosine via the neurotransmitter dopamine, insulin which is a 54 amino acid protein, thyroxine which is an iodine rich molecule derived from the amino acid tyrosine, and then molecules like oestrogen, testosterone and cortisol (hydrocortisone), which are steroid hormones.
Some cynics would add that a hormone is also something heard in a brothel.

Hahahaha....I'll use that at the next job site.

Ohh right. So different types of hormone have different composition.

Neither my girlfriend or I are doctors but, we'd heard testosterone wasn't readily/effectively absorbed through the stomach and chose an "alternative" approach in the form of "suppositories". Leave "in place" overnight. After just a month of daily "treatments", she's experienced a decrease in body fat and an increase in libido.

"The oral contraceptive pill, containing oestrogens, "
The oestrogens in the pill are semisynthetic derivatives, specifically to avoid degradation by the digetsive system
Testosterone isn't present in large quantities in semen (why would it be?). Any that was there would be degraded in the gut.
You need to find another excuse to sell to your girfriend.
