Title: Could an accumulation of acid be causing fatigue?

Professor Julia Newton has been looking at muscle cells from patients with chronic fatigue syndrome, to see if a problem with acid could be causing fatigue - and to work out if we can use this to treat patients.

CFS is not a disease, neither is CFS/ME.  The criteria Dr Newton uses describes a heterogeneous group of fatigued people.

Yet as usual you can bet this research will end up being forced onto ME patients who have a neuro immune disease.

Dr Newton should also be aware that in vitro is not in vivo. Currently she does not have a treatment, only a potential one and for what? A symptom called fatigue.  What are ME patients supposed to do?

Newton should use magnetic resonance spectroscopy proven to detect mitochondrial dysfunction.  

Cells don't exercise!  What on earth is she talking about?  Taking cells and exercising the?  Would she care to inform the ME community exactly what she is really doing?  It makes no sense at all. You wouldn't do this with MS patients would you.
