Possibly such SSD drives could be assembled but not to sell a the prices quoted.

That appears to be a RAM Drive. 
Somewhat old technology. 
I have to wonder if the photo that looks like a Western Digital MyBook is misleading, but they don't provide a scale.

They talk about rapid booting of the device, so undoubtedly it has a battery backup feature.  However, it would need some kind of a non-volatile backup otherwise a crash would mean 100% data loss.

I don't see a price listed, but undoubtedly the price will be related to the cost of RAM.  I see that RAM is on the order of $10 / GB, so that would translated to about $10,000 per TB, or $120,000 for 12 TB.  Plus, of course, the cost of the backboard.  The 32 GB DIMMS are currently much more expensive.  With 4 GB DIMMS, it would take about 3,000 DIMMS to make 12 TB.  With 32 GB DIMMS, it would take about 375 DIMMS, and half the gold in Fort Knox.

If I had a small database application that required wicked-fast speeds, perhaps in read-only mode, I would get a server with 100+ GB of onboard memory, and create a huge RAM Drive.
