Title: enhancing pencil lead

can anyone tell me what the best method for enhancing pencil lead on paper or cloth.  thanks in advance

Not really sure what you mean by 'enhancing' - do you mean enhancing the contrast i.e. making the pencil appear darker ?

There's not really an easy way to do this. Pencils work by releasing small fragments of graphite (crumbly carbon) into the meshwork of fibres which make up a material. This is why pencil can be 'rubbed out' because an eraser plucks the graphite particles from the fibres and what was drawn disappears.

Was it erased pencil that you were trying to recover ?
