Title: Where Does The Extra Space Come From ?

Space is like...well big !!

Even bigger than my local park...and that's big !!..and also my waistline (and that is also  BIG !)


...so, like my waistline, Space is getting even bigger....but Space is not eating kebabs and pizzas , Burger King and KFC like me.....space is just expanding.

..so...where does all the extra space come from ?....it it really expanding or is more space being added ?...if so...where dose that come from cos it's constituents has to exist first to make space yes ?

I dont believe the fabric of space is expanding pulling everything part with it so no new space is required it but rather a myterious force (Dark energy) is basically forcing things which are not gravitationally bound  like clusters of galaxys away from each other.

However even if space itself was expanding i doubt we could ever prove it.

Time for a radical beaver theory with absolutely no basis in reality.

Space is expanding because another dimension (or dimensions) is leaking into our 3.

Go on... prove me wrong!  [:(!]

So these dimensions (with obvious weak bladders) just leak their stuff into our Universe !!..how dare they !!...

...so..these dimensions are made of the same stuff as our Universe then ?

Can dimensions be said to be made of anything? They're just directions.

I hold with the multi-dimensional universe theories in which we exist on a 3D brane in a higher dimensional bulk. There may be other branes with the same 3Ds that we've got. If we are merging with 1 of them then its dimensions will cause ours to expand & vice versa.
