the other day i got bitten by something while i was driving. i managed to see the little guy before i shook my arm too hard and he flew onto the floor. he was a spider. this was on thursday, so... do you think he's still alive?

1. are you sure it was the spider that bit you? what type of spider was it??
2. It could live in your car until it gets fed up, dies or gets sat on...i guess.

i'm fairly sure. he was sitting right where i felt the bite and he was staring at me when i looked down... before the "oh my god there's a spider on me" thrashing around that followed. he was... little and brownish. i was kind of hoping it would be too hot for him to live in the car and he'd fry... or something. cuz i can't find him

I heard a funny story on "Car Talk" http://www.cartalk.com/
about a woman who had a spider in her car that had thousands of babies (eeks!) to get rid of them they suggested she take the car to a paint shop where they can really heat up the car. She did it and it worked. . .
So. . I hope you don't have a female spider in your car and if you do, find a local body shop and see if they'll heat up your car. Or maybe just park in the sun for the next few days.

very unlikely that i'd have to live through the baby spider nightmare twice. i turned on the fan in my bathroom one day and was showered with them... ew... i feel dirty again just thinking about it

i hadn't turned it on in a while. now i turn it on every few days to avoid things making nests in there.

OK, so am I the only one who likes spiders?
They are cheaper than fly spray and they are interesting in their own right.

No, I like spiders, just in limited quantities- I have a beautiful one living on my front porch now. However, thousands of them in my car or landing on me from a fan would tax my spider appreciation abilities.

i was ok with them until i was bitten by a poisonous one... that was... unfun

Does it work for snakes? A coworker in my former workplace got a snake inside his motorcycle.

Once I had a Huntsman spider walk across the window of my car.
- These are around 6-7 cm across, dark brown and hairy.
- Their New Zealand cousins starred in the movie "Arachnophobia"
My wife jumped out of the car and refused to get back in. She walked home.
But really, they are harmless - they just like eating flies.
