Title: Treatment for Genital Warts?
Post by: brandoking on 11/06/2011 03:12:22
I had genital warts for about three weeks now. And I've tried the best home remedies like Tea Tree Oil and medical product Wartrol but not too effective on my warts.

Do you know any treatment/product for genital warts?

My cousin suggested me to try the <spam removed>. But i don;'t have no idea at all about this cream. Has anyone try to used it before? Is it effective on warts?

Thank you!

i was on Wartscide when i saw improvement. like Oxyfend, except Wartscide is water and alcohol based (liquid), my warts started to turn darker until it became black and fell of. took me about two days to see them dry up like that and then fall. it worked just perfectly.

I have a little story to tell about this one!  Here goes, and this is absolutely true.......

About twenty years ago I had three very small lumps appear about 1cm inside my rectum.  I went to see a Dr as I was also having a lot of discomfort and pain from that region.  The Dr I went to see made an examination and then said "The only time I have seen this type of thing is in woman after they have given birth".  She gave me some pile cream and said I should apply that and it would resolve the issue.  I used the cream for about two months and in fact this seemed to make things worse.
Following a period of about two years I eventually had a situation where I was not able to wipe myself properly after I went to the toilet and now the problem was much much worse.  I had about 8-10 almost grape sized objects emerging from my anus!
Following on from that I eventually decided to see another Dr in a GU clinic.  This Dr was on leave from the army and was working in the GU dept to get experience.  He decided to start applying Podophyllin acid to the warts.  I went every week for about three months and all this seemed to do was remove the head of the warts causing a lot of pain and discomfort in the process.  On my final visit to this Dr, and there is a reason for this final visit he decided to take things into his own hands, he literally poured the contents of the bottle containing the acid down my backside.  I was not expecting this as normally a great deal of care was taken to apply a very small amount to the surface of the warts.  It was immediately excruciating.  The following few days I was unable to walk and I could not stop the bleeding as the acid had completely stripped away a layer of skin including all the healthy skin surrounding the warts.
Following the acid treatment from this sado-masochistic Dr I decided not to go back and in fact after about three weeks it seemed as if most of them were gone.  Unfortunately for some reason they came back with a vengeance and now seemed to occupy areas that they were not in before, this was all around the damaged skin.  Again I suffered in silence and tried to manage the discomfort and irritation the best I could.
A few short years after that I went to stay in Leeds and decided to visit a another GU clinic.  The Dr there took one look at me and said it was the worst case of warts she had ever seen.  She said it would take months to book me in for an operation and that as they were so bad she would help me out and do something she was not supposed to do.  Here we go again!  So I turned up on the day, it was just her and myself.  She locally anesthetised the area and then proceeded to quartarize the warts, which even though I was under local anesthetic was pretty painful at times.  She removed about 7 warts that she proudly showed me as they were literally the size of grapes!  Then comes the fun bit, I was sent packing and as she had just performed an illegal operation could not prescribe adequate painkillers.  She gave me an odd look as I left and I now know why.  About an hour after leaving the pain started!  Oh my lord did the pain start, I was doubled up on the floor unable to think I was in so much pain!  This lasted for about three hours and gradually faded away much to my relief!
More!! Yep there is more........  after that operation I really hoped that it was done and dusted, guess what, nope!  A few more years went past and the situation got pretty bad again, I booked myself in for an appointment with a surgeon.  The day came for me to goto my pre-op appointment with him.  I will never forget this, I was sent to his room, when I got there the lights were off and no one was in there.  A Dr came walking in with a student and asked me if I would be ok with the student being there during the examination.  He took one look at me and in disgust said "I can't operate on that as it is cancerous"  Without adding anymore he just left the room and I was left feeling like I had been abused and had no idea what I was supposed to do next.  I left his room and walked out of the hospital.  Another year after that I went to see my local GP at Hinckley instead of the George Elliot in Nuneaton where the army acid Dr was and also the Dr who literally walked out and left me with my pants round my ankles after a 5 second diagnosis of cancer!
The local Dr said they had a method for treating these, they were going to use cold to freeze them.  I said ok, I was willing to try anything at this stage, they wheeled in a large metal bottle about the size of a gas bottle and tried to get it working.  As I lay there but cheeks apart the valve on this bottle began to spit all over the place and they had to evacuate the room.  That was the end of that then!!  After we met again in a room far far away from the spitting gas bottle that some technicians had come running for, the Dr said he would book me in for general surgery.  And so finally I woke up after the operation hoping that this would be the end of it.
I sincerely hope that other people do not encounter the sheer unprofessionalism and malpractice I encountered with a very personal problem.  I desperately need a dermatologist to look at the damage that has been caused to me as I now have very bad eczema where the acid was exposed to my skin.  The Dr's I have seen recently have said there is not much they can do due to the fact the damage is so bad and a skin graft would not heal in that area.  I still have a lump which seems to get bigger and bigger and then pops about once a month.  The irritation is so bad at times it's hard to think straight.

I have lost a lot of faith in Dr's as a result of my experiences and now always seek a second opinion if not a third on everything.

Should I sue them, pah, it all happened so long ago, I just want someone to fix it!! 20 plus years is a long time to suffer with something that is supposedly quite easy to fix with the right treatment and diagnosis!!

Whew, what a story!!!!!!!!!!!

In many cases, the genital warts will resolve on their own.  But, in your case, that didn't work.

So, waiting didn't help either.

Liquid Nitrogen is commonly used to remove ordinary Warts, so I assume it would have worked for the genital warts on the external surface of the skin too.  And, I know that it has been in use for more than 30 years.  Lasers are used for some types of warts too.  However, with any treatment, it has to be given some time to work, then followed up on.

I have used consumer grade salicylic acid topical treatment on ordinary warts.  It is effective, but must be religiously used, perhaps twice daily for a month or so.  Apparently Podophyllin acid is only applied weekly, but it sounds like a lot of treatments at the doctor's office.

The Liquid Nitrogen vapors would have been safe enough...  The only danger is cold, or displacement of air...  and of course getting touched by the liquid.  But the doctor should have been able to recover the situation.

As a patient, you should have followed up better.  But your physicians should have also followed up too.  I.E.  There is no excuse to tell a patient that they suspect cancer, and not get an appointment booked with an oncologist or other specialist.

As far as pain meds.  Each person deals with pain differently.  They need to give a patient enough pain meds.  But, it shouldn't be a bottomless supply as there is a risk of addiction and side-effects.  Actually, I've been prescribed pain meds...  perhaps I needed 2 doses, but was prescribed 25.  Then one ends up with a bottle of meds that is unnecessary.

There is now an HPV vaccine.  It won't help those with the disease, but might help those that haven't had it.  There is some debate on whether it should be only given to girls, or both boys and girls, and I don't believe it is currently being given to uninfected adults.

Thanks for your response CliffordK, I think I am right in saying that now podophyllyn acid is not used anymore in the UK, although I am not sure if this was a local choice or a national one.

I am off to see a Dr again next week to seek a solution for the irritation I suffer.

I think this seems to be the most likely of the candidates that I currently suffer from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acrochordon

I currently also have some very small lumps that appear regularly on the damaged skin, I just use my nails to pinch them off, painful yes, but it seems to stop the itching in that area until they return within a few days.  I will also ask the Dr next week what they are.  Previously having asked the same question to a Dr I was informed that these lumps are normal on skin that has been damaged.  But I have to say I take what most Dr's say with a large pinch of salt, excluding yourself of course  [;D]

I realise that there are professional Dr's out there however I believe they are very hard to find.

But I have to say I take what most Dr's say with a large pinch of salt, excluding yourself of course  [;D]

Actually, I'm not a Doctor of either Philosophy or Medicine.  (why are all non Medical Doctors called Doctors of Philosophy?)

I try to ignore the nether-regions.

I did have some Hemorrhoids removed once.  The Dr. would only put rubber bands on the asymptomatic internal hemorrhoids, and not the symptomatic external ones.  The external ones had to be removed with a couple thousand dollar surgery.  It couldn't be any worse than the calf ball-bander.  Actually, if I ever had a recurrence, I think I'd just have someone fix it with the ball-bander, and skip the doctors.

I know there are subtle changes in the skin that either do not recover, or take a very long time to recover.

The Podophyllin acid probably just became obsolete with the Liquid Nitrogen and Laser types of treatments for warts.  Salicylic Acid is still used for consumer treatments of "accessible" warts due to the ease of use, but it still takes a very long treatment regimen.

Going to the doctor is always the best thing to do.  The only treatment/product I know for genital warts is Wartscide, mainly because my best friend used it for her genital warts, given to her by her douchebag ex.  She said it made her warts fall off and was very effective.

I used Wartscide to get rid of my genital warts too.  I was hoping that the warts would disappear without treatment so I initially ignored it...but that was just wishful thinking on my part.  Thank goodness for effective topical treatments like Wartscide because I couldn't afford surgery, cryotherapy or laser even if I wanted to...

hi.

i have been diagnosed with these for a couple of years now. i also have skin tags and thought thats what it was when i had one on my bits.

im currently in a long term relationship and my girlfriend has caught them from me (she knew i had them).

problem is for me, they keep coming back and are now on the outer part of my penis. I have one small one just making room for itself.

im sick of them and they go away fine with warticon (every single other bout has been under foreskin) but always return.

i have occasionally had unprotected sex with my gf and obviously created these problems myself.

but is there any way of ridding myself of the actual wart symptoms for good? i know i have the hpv thing for life but 90% of people dont even show symptoms :(

theyre horrible and cause a bit of stress for me and looking for any other advice

Title: got mine from a whirlpool tub on my second honeymoon
Post by: johnny383 on 21/08/2012 21:06:49
just to let you all know so maybe you can tell others about this, you can get genital warts from a hot tub, or whirlpool tub too. my wife and i were on our second honeymoon at a bed and breakfast with a whirlpool tub in the room. we didnt think about it at the time, but how many people have sex in these things ,EWWWW right. thank god i didnt get anything else, not that it makes having these any better.

well we had a lot of sex, and i was pretty chaffed up, i decided to relax in the whirlpool tub. six months later i got sick with pneumonia (unrelated to the warts) until this time i experienced no outwards symptoms of genital warts until my bodies will to fight the HPV virus went down due to being sick, then these things ended up popping up all over my penis. my wife is a nurse, she didnt recognise them as genital warts. i went to my doctor, and had a biopsy done, he told me the biopsy was inconclusive, and i am supposed to go to a dermatologist to make a more accurate assessment, but my doctor has seen this many times before and does believe these are genital warts.

i went home and burnt the rest of em off that i could see with DR scholls cryogenic wart remover. it was a bit painful, but it removed them. its been 2&1/2 weeks to recover from that. i found a few more a couple days ago, and decided to tweezer em off, and then use tea tree oil several times a day where i removed them. it burns a little but is supposed to kill the virus locally at the wart itself. i know i will now have the HPV virus for the rest of my life, but want these things to at least go into remission.

how i figured out it was the whirlpool tub was that my doctor asked me what did i do about 5 to 7 months ago, i told him i went on my second honeymoon. he asked me if i used a hot tub or a whirlpool tub, to which i replied yes, and told him i was pretty chaffed from lots of sex on my honeymoon. he said that is where i got them from.

my wife and i are pretty upset over this as this will now rule our sexlife. if i have any of these wee beasties on my unit we cant enjoy each other in our bedroom. shes clean and didnt get them, and i dont want her to get this from me as it has far worse complications for her like cervical cancer. so yes as a faithful husband in a monogamous relationship i got genital warts from a whirlpool tub at a bed and breakfast. isnt life a bitch.

anybody know a way i can get these things in remission and possibly keep them there. i know i am treating the outward signs of them, kinda like when folks treat coldsores, i'd just like em to go away in remission so i dont see em anymore, i want to live my life again.

There is no evidence that contaminated toilet seats, doorknobs, towels, soaps, swimming pools or hot tubs, can transmit HPV...

The most common time interval from exposure to HPV to development of genital warts is 4 weeks to 8 months. However, HPV can remain latent in some people for years or decades before developing warts or cervical disease, so it is usually not possible to determine exactly when, or from whom, an individual contracted the virus ...

Latent HPV infection - most people who get HPV do not have any detectable warts or other HPV-related disease (i.e. histological-detectable cell changes). They probably have HPV in very low numbers (perhaps 1 HPV) per infected cell. Therefore, latent HPV cannot be detected by visual inspection, cytology or even by HPV testing ...
http://www.asccp.org/PracticeManagement/HPV/NaturalHistoryofHPV/tabid/5962/Default.aspx

six months later i got sick with pneumonia (unrelated to the warts)

The infection which caused the pneumonia could have sapped your immune system causing latent HPV to become clinical HPV , (i.e. cause the appearance of the warts).

I've suffered with Genital Warts for years. It is no picnic but I recommend Skinhale Wart Remover to remove Genital Warts at home. Skinhale worked in just a few days for me.

I've also tried ACV but it stinks(literally) and can take up to 1-2 months to remove your genital warts.

It is also important to remember to boost your immune system. This will also help fight off any genital warts. Good luck guys!

Jaffa,
Talk to your physician, and see if you can get a dermatology consult, perhaps at the local medical school.

I believe that they can be treated with cryotherapy, although it may take multiple treatments.  If you can get rid of the active warts, it is possible that your body will be able to fight off the virus better.  Although, if you truly had the warts since birth, your immune system may have troubles recognizing them as foreign and fighting them.

One of the more recent, and perhaps still experimental therapies for warts is the injection of the wart with candida antigen (http://www.altoonafp.org/candida.htm), stimulating an immune response that is greater than the wart would otherwise generate.

Just had my fourth operation to remove lumps bumps skin tags and warts.  I do not bruise and I was told off for not telling the surgeon because apparently I bled profusely during surgery.  They had to use stitches to stop the bleeding and the operation ended prematurely so I will have to go back for another!!  The Dr told me they might come back but I realise now they missed some so they are already back!!
I am tempted to try and use Cannabis oil.. however it does not seem to be available yet!

Eat lots of green veggies before your next surgery (Vitamin K).  And make sure your doctor knows if you are regularly taking aspirin, coumadin, or warfarin, or related meds.  Perhaps any non steroidal anti inflammatory taken on a regular basis.

Talk to your doctor about the candida antigen.  If you have a few warts you are waiting to have removed, see if you can get them injected.  It should be a simple enough of a procedure, I would assume to be done in the doctor's office.

Is Hemp oil equivalent to cannabis oil?  I presume you could purchase the hemp oil much easier.  Medical Marijuana is legal in a good chunk of the USA, although you may not want to carry your oil home with you.

I had 4 warts on the shaft of my penis. I went to the doc and he froze them off. They came back in 3 months.

I bought the "freezer" kit at the grocery store, and I REALLY froze them off. They came back in 4 months.
I had an appt with the dermatologist, and I read about the prescription meds available, the first one I read up on said that 40 percent of the people who used it had their warts return! What good is that? Especially after you paid all the money for the doc and the prescription.

Online I learned about apple cider vinegar. I cut out a little piece of a bath towel, 2 inches by 2 inches. Cotton balls had been recommended but I could not get them to stay in place.
So I put the ACV on the little piece of towel and put it on my penis and let it soak for 2 hours.

Next day, same thing for 2 hours.
Next day, same thing. On that third day it did burn and sting. So what? I was sick of these warts and wanted them gone.
Next day I noticed the warts turned white.
Next day they turned into scabs. The scabs fell off in a week, and in another week the warts were gone!

That was 4 weeks before the dermatologist appointment. I just cancelled the appt.

This was 6 months ago and there is no sign of the warts. Apple cider vinegar is the hammer of genital warts! I urge you to give it a try.

Does anyone know what to do to the wart after it turns brownish/black? I put another application of ACV on it and it didn't change much and then I started putting vitamin E oil on it to help heal and it went back to white. I then applied ACV with a cotton ball again and it went black again. should I pick it off when its black? how long should I keep treating it with ACV? Thanks for any replies in advance

DONT i placed my order almost two months ago NOTHING no order I've asked for my money to be refunded NOTHING!!!! i finally have taken this up with the company that hosts the site hopefully it will get taken down and have tried to get my money back from my bank DONT GO TO SKINHALE ITS A FRAUD

One of the best treatment for Genital warts is Cervugid Ovules.
I can say that I got experience with candida, I struggled for years with it and eventually I beat it. I took all the ovules and existing ointments and then after I was born I got rid of it for about four years. He returned but after treatment with orgametril, but I took Cervugid treatment box (12 ovules, one every night). Two years have passed and no longer appeared. Mention that during treatment should cooked and ironed towels and underwear daily. Also do not eat sweets during treatment and even after a period.
Minimum treatment 3 boxes.

Do you know any treatment/product for genital warts?

My cousin suggested me to try the <spam removed>. But i don;'t have no idea at all about this cream. Has anyone try to used it before? Is it effective on warts?

Thank you!

Hey,I read your query! Well, I think I am late in providing you the solution which can actually prove to be beneficial for you as it have been for me. Still I would like to share my views as I actually had a very best experience because I am not knowing exactly that wheher you  got relief from warts problem or not.I had also suffered this problem.I had warts on my foot and wartrol just made me live a new life by getting them vanished.so I can understand that how difficult it is to bear this warts problem.
(https://www.thenakedscientists.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.warts.com.au%2Fwarts%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2012%2F07%2Fplantar-wart-treatment-case2-B4after.jpg&hash=3194aa9065fe4689edbf76015abe3a65)
So, according to me  Wartrol is the best thing which one can go with to get their warts removed. One can find them from number of medical stores and also now it can be bought from various online sites.  I’d recommend  you to purchase it from the official seller site to ensure that you get 100% natural Wartrol. So that you do not get other problems due to unnatural watrol. As for human nothing is more important than our life. there are some peopl We should be assured before using any of the product.  Thus I  have also looked up for the reviews before using it, from one site which provided me best of the reviews on wartrol, its effects and its uses. Wartrol always prove to be the best cure for warts and thus give people a confidence to enhance their beauty.

Thank you

Coconut oil is an antifungal, anti-bacterial, antioxidizing and whitening agent. It not only prevents the infection, soothes the pain but also prevents the scar formation. To make it more effective, you may add lemon juice. Lemon juice is acidic and is known to lighten the scars. So mix coconut oil and lemon juice in equal quantities and apply it on the affected part. Repeat it several times.
