Are there any cowboys here?

I have a question about using a lasso. Can the lasso be propelled 5 m up in the air by hand? Or this can be achieved only with a grappling hook? A cowboy can use the lasso to rope a target 5 m away. But what if he has to reach, with the lasso, a hook on the ceiling that’s about 5 or 6 m high, so that he can then climb up the rope? Perhaps the question sounds a bit silly, since 5 m isn’t that much, but I should be 100% sure. Thanks.

Sure, you can throw the lasso about high as you can throw it in front you. It just depends on your strength. I can't vouch on the accuracy though. Thanks for comments. Joe L. Ogan

Records show the same weight can be thrown more than twice as far horizontally (for distance) than vertically (for height).
