Title: Could the immune system be used to help cure cancer?
Post by: thedoc on 10/05/2012 16:07:49
Cancer cells may escape attack by the body's immune system by releasing chemicals to suppress it, but we may be able to overcome this in the future.

Hello thedoc, I don’t know the answer for this question but what I do know is that it is possible to live to 104 and be cancer free. I meet a lady who was this age and she had her full mental facilities and cancer free, this was confirmed by nursing staff. So under the right condition is it possible for the body to fight off cancer but must have a strong immune system. From what I have been reading in my anatomy and physiology text book on the immune system it is possible for the body to find and kill cancer cell, I am still looking in to this phenomenon and I will keep you update. Hope this makes sense.
