any idea??????????? [:-\]

I don't accept the premise, i've observed sex to make the female very tired indeed.
I guess it depends on how it's done. It's probably the actual orgasm that induces the tired feeling, and probably most of the time it's only the male that actually orgasms.

From an evolutionary point of view, post coital stupor in males is advantageous as it enables the female to escape from the encounter without the aggressive male attacking her.

Endogenous opioids (endorphins) are released during ejaculation (it's the brains reward for achieving the goal) and also lead to that slightly euphoric state and drowsiness.
Women who orgasm experience the exact same effect.
Having said that it only lasts a short time and if you can stay awake then you can get over it fast enough to get up and go and make her some breakfast.

I believe on orgasm, the brain releases a muscle relaxant. Men have more muscle, so experience the effect stronger. I know this is quite sketchy, but I definitely remember reading something like that in a good source.

I agree with JnA and find the same to be true after good sex! (with Orgasms) It is very helpful in the sleep department at least that has been my experience. I get just as droopy eyed as my partner.
So alls good.. a nice nap is wonderful... LOL!
