With photos, there is often a thumbnail of the image that you can see without opening it. I have various text documents that undergo revision, and I don't want to have to open all of them to see which one I want. So if there was a way of viewing a page of a closed doc, that would be very useful.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

I can only see the first few words of the document at the bottom. [:-\]

If you included tags and comments you wouldn't have to open the document to find out its contents,
(tags make finding and cross-referencing documents easier too).

Do a search in the folder with all the text files in question and there should be a field "A word or phrase in the file", If you can remember some small part of the document you're looking for that should help a lot.

You're right, I didn't know you could do that! (https://www.thenakedscientists.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fbestsmileys.com%2Fsilly%2F14.gif&hash=18a30d5c751609cb9d6ec0d97f846c36)
