Title: When a person gains weight, does shoe size increase?
Post by: chris on 20/07/2012 10:45:56
Do we get equivalently fat everywhere? And when a person puts on a few pounds, is this reflected in an increase in shoe-size?

I can tell you That is a fact the answer is yes.. at least from my experience My shoe goes from and 8 1/2 womens wide and when I gain weight like now I am up to a 9 1/2  triple E to a ten! The weight presses down and your foot gains extra width and depth but not so much length, BUT.... you have to go up in length to get your shoes to fit in all the other directions unless you live in London and go have a cast of your foot made and have your custom made shoes delivered 6 to nine months later like waiting to give birth..Lol
Otherwise yes your foot gets bigger and It is not so fun! I am having that trouble right now...none of my shoes fit and I am wearing my slippers because of weight gain and water swelling in my feet also.. but even without the swelling my feet are a good size bigger depending on the brand.. at different weights!

My shoe size increased when I got pregnant by about one and a half size. I don't know if it was increased weight or the joint relaxing effect of hormones during pregnancy. My feet have  gone back down half a size since then.

One thing I've noticed about my daughter and her friends, they have really big feet (age 14). Maybe they are all going to be tall, but my daughter is already a size 8 and I was a size 5 at her age and about the same height.

My patients have found the Velcro straps to be very easy to use and adjust, especially those with arthritis in their hands. I have appreciated the constant updating to the products with new offerings and improvements to the line every season and look forward to continuing to offer the shoes to my patients for many years.I have been offering patients <<<COMMERCIAL NAME REMOVED >>> shoes for 6+ years and my patients, both diabetics and non-diabetic, have found them to be comfortable and stylish.

<COMMERCIAL NAME REMOVED> shoes are so comfortable and nice looking. I am so happy to have shoes that I can wear in all-day comfort. This is the second pair of shoes that I have purchased from this company in the last month and have been so pleased with the products and service that I ordered a third pair. <<COMMERCIAL LINK REMOVED >>

In often cases, even in an adult, the size of the leg may increase, even when the usual shoes suddenly become small. In fact, not only does the foot increase, but also the upper limbs, as well as the chin and nose, occur. Just seeing your reflection in the mirror every day, it is not so noticeable, and is seen as an ordinary age coarsening of the face, that is, as a variant of growing up. In fact, this is the first reason to conduct a brain examination, namely, the department that we call the pituitary (neuroendocrine gland).
The pituitary gland produces a special hormone, which at the right time stimulates the growth of a person. If the adult begins to grow again, then there is a tumor of the pituitary gland, which, developing, begins to produce this hormone in excess quantities, and then we see such a clinical picture.
Despite the fact that as a result of the development of the disease, physical growth of bones is observed, yet it is perfectly treatable. It is necessary to conduct a brain examination (to make a magnetic resonance imaging) to determine the degree of pituitary tumor, and then remove this tumor surgically
Most often, the foot increases after trauma, with soft tissue damage that strengthens the arch of the foot, with microcirculation or as a consequence of edema. Also, an increase in the foot is possible with age-related arthritis and arthritis, due to the omission of the arch of the foot. In such cases, doctors recommend the wearing of instep arresters, which prevent and slow the progression of age-related flat feet.
