shortly,i think that the earth acts like a gyroscope in his rotation and this spinning is the cause of gravity...
objects initially resist to the drag counterclockwise with their inertial mass and produce friction,but they follow this move...
because the inertial moment conserves(geman scientist`s law),earth reacts(newton 3td law) with a force directed to his center,which is objects WEIGHT...

The Earth rotates once in 24 hours and gravity is 1g.
The moon which has 1/6 the mass of the Earth has 1/6 the gravity.
The moon rotates on its axis once in 14 days. According to your logic the moon should have a lot less gravity than it does..
Gravity owes very little to rotation and everything to mass. Gravity is acceleration in space-time. The object need not be rotating.
An object in contact with the inside of a rotating ring experiences pseudo gravity through acceleration. When contact is lost, so is the pseudo gravity.

how do you know the mass of the moon?it`s calculated with G formula,imitation of g on earth(see next tread)... and how do you know the gravity on the moon?
tell me an argument for the mass attracting each other if you find one,`cos i don`t believe it...

Well Newton came up with a pretty good argument a few hundred years ago that has stood the test of time. Einstein further refined it about a hundred years ago.

nic - first welcome to the forum. Mike is right in his posts - for us to start thinking that maybe gravity is based on something other than mass we will have to see a series of experiments that show that our current models are screwed and that the figures provided by your idea do match with the experiments.

According to Einstein's General Theory of Relativity the mass of the moon has an extremely small dependance on the rotation of the moon about it's center. Since the rate of rotion is extremely small then so too is the gravitational field of the moon's dependance on rotation.
