Karen, I went to the vet yet again today and the female cat had had an operation to remove the swelling from an infected fox bite and she had her green bandage removed today. The vet is pleased with her progress and so am I since she's turned out to be a greedy cat as she builds up her strength again.I hope that you have a good Thanksgiving W/E.

She had to operate to remove the abscess which in a couple of days had become the size of his normal head,, it was horrible.. but she drained it took care of the infection and camped out here until he was safe.. wonderful veterinarian... He healed nicely and I was very glad to have had called her to come when he had been bitten as by the time she arrived he was really bad... We live out in the country so I was fortunate that she was so quick to come after we found the bite.. He had been bitten a couple days before.. but we couldn't find any punctures for two days.. we noted a scratch on his nose but missed a whole under his big floppy roll under his chin area on the neck..I am glad she will be recovering well and that the vet and you did well taking care of him. Good job Ros..Thanks for the good wishes.. you have a great weekend too!

The vet did her job in your case. good.I am kind of relieved so far about my female cat but the vet had taken some samples from theswelling and thought that it might be either an infection or a lymphoma, (that scares me for her), but I want to believe that it was only an infection.
