I was driving along a little country lane when I saw him. I just couldn't resist stopping to say hello.

I wouldn't go up to him & tickle his nose!
I think you mean llama. The nose is a bit large for 1 of those.
-
Is this a yack or one of those mutant Scottish breeds that are shaggy?
-
Not many people know this - the double l is pronounced Y so it's a yama; from the Spanish, who came upon them in their New World conquests.
I'm trying to spread this message around the English-speaking world.

This is an Aberdeen Angus Bull, which is a nice Scottish Breed.

I knew it was a highland coo (this is how it is pronounced in Scotland.)
-
I thought "coo" was pigeon talk.

Let's have an "AMEN" to that.
(And the lack of fussiness extends to all parts of Doc's life from the evidence I have seen.)

We're having a Hoedown (Aaron Copeland variety thereof)
-
Aaron was just a musical hack - couldn't even come up with his own tunes needed to plagiarize the countryside for his musical melodies.
-
There are a finite number of variations on a theme of diddly-diddly-dee available to the 4 strings of a fiddle.
-
And Copeland used all of them before he finished his intermediate composition lessons. Of course these tunes came most from the English and Scotish settlers in the Appalachians. Not very bright these people - could have done much better for themselves.
-
Vaughan Williams is another who looked to traditional folk music for inspiration.
-
Same opinion of him - only his music is more insipid.
-
I must admit that I am not a fan of Vaughan Williams.

Fanfare For A Common Man is ace !!.....and then Emerson Lake & Palmer improved it !!....which is nice ! [:)]
-
But, my load - er, Lord - neither Copeland nor von Williams can hold a candle to even CPE Bach. These latter day musicologist are just composing hacks.
