Title: Identity theft - found online at security site.
Post by: JimBob on 12/04/2008 19:01:02
91% of ALL identity theft now is obtained through or from Myspace.com or Facebook.com  Just the information posted is enough to get a complete profile of yourself or your friends (they get emails from you fishing for data)

It doesn't surprise me in the slightest. But if people give out personal info willy-nilly then they deserve everything they get.

I have facebook..

But they can only see your profile if you are in the same network as them, or if you are a friend.
Otherwise, all they can see is your profile picture and your name.

I think MySpace is alot less safer than facebook!

all it takes is three innocuous facts about you to recreate a life history - doesn't matter much what those facts are - it can be done.
