Title: A Day That Changed The World
Post by: MDriver1981 on 21/02/2009 07:25:48
One day that changed the world was October 7, 1777.  That is the day British General John "Gentlemen Johnny" Burgoyne admitted defeat at Saratoga, New York, USA. He surrendered his army of 9,000 men to the American General Horatio Gates.  Such a large surrender was against everything Burgoyne knew as a man of honor, but he did it anyways.  The surrender ended the long and bloody Saratoga Campaign. The French Monarch decided that the peasant army of America just might win.  This in turn led to the Franco-American Alliance- the alliance that brought the British down. and in turn, created the New United States of America.  If Burgoyne was more on his game, and not drinking and whoring with his mistresses so much, the results (I say) would have been different...

So America owes a lot to France just like they now owe a lot to China. It is enough to give a red neck an ulcer!

China has been taking the advise of the United States by embracing Capitalism , instead of communism.  Although I am not certain things in China are as superb as it looks.
