Title: Why does slow dancing, to soft music seem to be so arousing?
Post by: Karen W. on 17/12/2006 20:36:54
Aside from the fact there is friction between the two partners, what is it about music and that slow rhythmic movement that drives a person crazy with passion and desire?

This might stem back to when you're in the womb and the most consistent thing you can probably hear is the beat of your mummys heart.

However, the fact that the music is slow and is far more intimate enables you to concentrate on the other person far more so than if you were bopping along to some hard hose trance !!...actually..that can be good too !!...but ...slow music is quiet also...therefore you can interact vocally...or you can perceive body language easier...because as you say there is far more contact.

personally, I find ballads extremely evocative...and not just words..instrumentals too....

Slow music helps to add focus to the moment

Mam..it must be quite awkward when you're out shopping then and there's a ballad playing in the Mall !!...how do you control yourself ?  [;)]

LOL! If I was in the mall and we only have one real mall here.A couple mini ones, I would probably faint dead away or find myself in a world of trouble because I would be whipped for playing ballads in this place! LOL Humboldt county is not Known for it's love of balads.. although their are small pockets of admirers such as myself who enjoy them.. I would say never in your or my life time at our mall! I love ballads especially intumentals!!! I like them all!

Sir,I have Very good self control and do not have that partner to slow dance with,.... now don't you think it might look a tad peculiar Me grabbing the first young man within arms length and swooping down on him like a vulture.. I think I might be  find myself sitting qiuetly in the poke Trying to remember why I love ballads and slow dancing!! I can count on one hand the number of times my husband danced with me in the 27 years we were together, literally not Joking... He hated Dancing and still does, that will never change but I loved it!! I must say I am getting a bit too old to start now!

It's all about BARRY WHITE THE SEX GOD!!!!!.....RIP Oh might Barry White  [:-'(]

Slow music is grand, dancing that little bit closer, dancing cheek to cheek (facial cheeks that is Neil  [;)] ) , the mood, the lighting, the sense that you are the only two people in the world, the romance, the heat, the energy, the feeling and feelings, the bond, the laughs, the tears, the good and the bad, not really the ugly, being there with each other for each other, the magic, the moment, the future...........well that's just me though, don't know if it is the same for anyone else.

Well You must have monitors that help you with security surveillance. My son Youngest Nathan just quit his Job at the t6ire shop and got a job doing security at the Blue Lake Casino!! He is jazzed a $1 more an hour for start to go up as he is there longer! so I guess he will make $9.00 an hour instead of $8.00 ! He is excited. Heaven forbid anyone cause him any grief , me boy is not a very big man.. He is very small in stature. I know he will be fine, but it still worries me... Some of those older men drunks can get pretty belligerent!
Title: Re: Why does slow dancing, to soft music seem to be so arousing?
Post by: Mirage on 19/12/2006 20:10:38
Yeah, I've got a cctv monitor right next to me, which comes in handy  [;)]

But that's what mothers do, they worry. My mum still worries about me doing security and it's already been over 5 years now  [;)]
The secret is to keep people in a good mood, especially when they are drunk.
Title: Re: Why does slow dancing, to soft music seem to be so arousing?
Post by: Karen W. on 19/12/2006 20:17:57
I'll keep that in mind and tell Nathan.. He is so small.. But I can't tell him that! He knows he's a little guy.. But I try not to say much to him about it he is a grown young man and I have confidence he will be able to handle the job!! Right Daniel? Real confidence, I am trying!
Title: Re: Why does slow dancing, to soft music seem to be so arousing?

Nothing will ever stop my mum talking about it. She absolutely freaked when there was a possibility of me moving to a notorious area. Was quite good fun trying to persuade her that the area was ok  [;)]

Nathan just has to be more observant when he first starts, some things you're only going to be able to learn through experience. But if he is observant to begin with it could make all the difference. In most situations the best way to deal with a drunk is to keep enough distance away, just in case he swings you have space and time to move block etc, but also not too much space that he can move around in. Do not try to react to whatever comes out of their mouths, even if it seems personal. People will often insult a security guard simply because of his job. The amount of swear words and insult you can hear is amazing, but then can also be amusing because there will always be a point where someone has said that to you before. Don't let it get to you. Try and remain calm and polite. If you can appear friendly to the person you need to deal with it can help a lot. It can sometimes seem like a buddy situation, like in a way you two become mates. But always stay alert. Keep your temper in check, and try not to retaliate with abusive language as this can make things a lot worse. But don't be too lenient with them, you don't want them thinking that you are a push over. It's a fine line between all of it, be nice but not too nice. It comes with time, but sometimes it is hard to see it.

How could it possibility not be unless there is some obvious negative rapport element present (bad breath). Otherwise you are in total rapport with each other in an intimate way were physical contact is also involved. It is the perfect conditions for this response. Its simulated sex to music without the risks.

A snickers bar used to be called Marathon when I was a kid  [;D]

Calamari is easily overcooked...the batter is different everywhere Karen...hmmm, sweet..?  What type of dip or sauce did you have with it, or any?

I am not a big horseradish fan, but it is mixed with a beautiful dipping sauce with a little hint of it...otherwise I don't work well with horsieraddishes...LOL

Sometimes you forget the music while dancing, it's all about getting caught up in the moment, eyes meet eyes, how the light glistens off of them, a slight smile of nerves as the slow dance stops and a slow kiss begins

Also I love horseradish
