Dark matter has been investigated apparently by a European agency, in which a laser was fired through space and warped, I'd like to know how many beams and what they saw and how...?
They used the Hubble telescope. The beam must have been bent regularly the same way. There was quite a good 3d diagram on TV.

Sounds interesting but where are the references so that we can follow it up?

All it takes is a finger, a mouse and a internet connection - see
http://hubblesite.org/newscenter/archive/releases/2007/01/ I am going to read it as soon as I log-off here.

There is of course a lot of authoritative information available on the internet about most of the matters discussed on this board but I think that initially we should should try and express our own ideas before dashing off to to Google or Wikipedia.
Many of our ideas may well be wrong but they always make entertaining reading.

The link referenced above IS the official site for the organization of astronomers, NASA, Univerisity and foundations that manage Hubble, giveing out observation time, doing the administrative b.s.. You can be sure that if it is onthis site it is authoritative.
