Title: What is this rock with Strange markings ?

I found this rock and it has strange markings on it. It definitely feels very hard and can cause scratches on Granite. I have been unable to cause scratches on it with pen knives. The markings on it do not seem to be superficial and seems to be a part of the rock itself. The rock is smooth to touch.

Looks like an agate to me.
