Title: Why Is It Difficult To Walk In Straight Line With Eyes Shut ?
Post by: neilep on 06/10/2008 17:54:49
Dear Occularologists and Peeps with eyes,

As a sheepy I am of course an expert on looking at stuff !..it's obvious isn't it ?

Ewe Shagger = Voyeur !...obvious...blatant even !!

But why is it so easy to go down tangent avenue when walking in straight line and I close my eyes ?..does not take many steps before I'm almost crossing the road !

I still have my precise walking gait...I have my aural skills, my inner balance..and yet close my eyes and all hell breaks loose !

If I was deaf I could still walk straight couldn't I ?

look here's some eyes to help ewe understand

 [ Invalid Attachment ]

OPEN !!
..all is good ..proceed to square one and pick up £200

 [ Invalid Attachment ]

CLOSED !!
..warning..warning !!...pass steering wheel to co-pilot..do not cross the road !..and do not perform a frontal lobotomy !

There..see the difference ?

So why is it so easy to go off kilter with my eyes shut !! ?

Hugs ewe all, shmishes your bot bots !

The reason is the same for why it's difficult to walk in a straight line in a desert. Your legs are not identical, and that results in a different stride length. If your right leg stride is fractionally longer than your left leg stride, you will gradually curve to the left. If your left leg stride is longer, then you gradually curve to the right.

Either that or you're pi**ed!  [:D]

Thank ewe Dr Beave...well..as a tea-totaller the idea of my imbibing alcohol to a state of delinquency is a tall order....

..so, it's really down to the marginal difference in stride due to leg length....

..I thought it might be something else as it happens pretty soon after closing your eyes and I would have thought that then this would mean that there would be a greater more exaggerated difference in leg length then. (If leg length be the truth). I just had a 'thing ' inside my head that it might be a balance issue.

But I bow down in reverence to your esteemed and copious knowledge of all things stridal !

It's not necessarily that your legs are different lengths. 1 leg tends to be slightly more muscular than the other in the same way that the right arms of right-handed people tend to be.

There could be an issue with balance too.
