Title: Does fingerprint analysis leave residue on a surface?
Post by: thedoc on 18/07/2013 00:30:02
Winston Smith  asked the Naked Scientists:

I'd like to know if, following fingerprint analysis of a card paper document and plastic covering, any residue would remain?

An alleged fingerprint analaysis was taken of a document, but when it was returned to me, it did not appear as though it had been tested. Am I under the misapprehension, that dust or similar residual "stuff" might remain on the document?

I appreciate your time and thank you in advance for replying to this email.

Yours sincerely

Anne Wyn-Jones
