Yes.. Well this is what's going on out there at the moment. People are putting money in front of our only planet!

The stupid thing is.. What use does money have, when.. There isn't a.. planet?

Other is.. By helping the planet, by doing good things, money tends to roll in.

It is still a controversial subject, but as I understand it, even the proponents of the anthropogenic global warming arguments are beginning to regret the holywoodisation of the technical arguments, of which Al Gore's film is a prime example. It seemed like a wonderful propaganda tool (to those that agreed with the argument) when it first came out, but it is now seen ever more as shifting the arguments away from the science and more into the emotional arena, and as such, science then loses.

Great link George.. Before I saw the film made by Al Gore, An Inconvenient Truth, I too thought that it was just a natural period in our planet and sun, that involves heating up, and it was a cycle of life..

But.. After seeing this film/presentation.. It took me by surprise.. They had lots of graphs (which may be faulty), but surely, just by looking at the graph, it did not look like a natural cycle. The amount of carbon dioxide in the air, and the warmth of our planet was way above our natural ice-age and warming periods..

Well, I think Gore was pretty close to the facts as presented by the IPCC. The only thing that I disliked about the presentation was that in my humble opinion, he sugarcoated it. The facts are that we have already ignored the consequences of our CO2 loading for so long that it it too late even if we were all to start tomorrow to avoid serious problems in the world of our grandchildren. That's how bad it is. That is NOT an argument to do nothing- no, it is an argument that we have a great need to get serious and do more.
And yet we have apparently well educated persons like another someone still pooh-poohing it all as a bunch of hysteria.

Pastiche and "Live" were the albums my parents had, and I always liked 4 brothers, On a Little Bridge in Singapore and the Java Jive. (waiter, waiter, percolater)
