Title: The Black Beast of Exmoor
Post by: JimBob on 05/09/2008 03:39:08
Has anyone seen it?

NO, I am not kidding. It is the subject of a programme on the telle that is on now.

(I am using the English spelling to confuse you more, Paul. It is SO easy to do.)

Jim nope I have not seen the Black Beast of Exmoor or anywhere in the UK as it is nearer to a myth.

Nice one I think but a bit on the mystifying side though

BTW have you ever seen anything like this in the USA?

Not too sure I like this name; "The Black Beast of Exmoor"

Surely Native or African-Exmoorian Beast of Exmoor is the way to go.

All this P.C. stuff needs to be shoved into the rubbish bin. I would rather call a spade a spade, not a club, a heart or a diamond.

Paul the Black Beast of Exmoor is supposed to be either a Black panther or black puma.

"Then in July [of 1999], a 'lion' was seen in Pembrokeshire, and several people thought they saw one in South Yorkshire.  However, this one was convincingly explained as misidentifications of Rocky, a Rottweiler-retriever cross with eczema, which had been shaved apart from around it's head and the end of it's tail.  The Daily Star's banner headline was THE BEAST OF ECZEMA.

From the Fortean Times Alien Big Cat Round-up article, published in the Feb 2003 issue.

JimBob we usually spell telle. as tele. as it is short for television. Perhaps you should stick to the wireless!

There is a lot of evidence for there being a beast but I guess lots of people have also seen bigfoot. If you would also like to know about Jinny Greenteeth, the water hag from Cheshire, I can furnish you with all the sightings too. People are so suggestable.

Gee, mum, I heard about all those beasties in the school-yard. Can ya tell me about the mythical and ferocious Moneybags that inhabits small villages and avoids women like the plague?

I saw a big black cat in Suffolk 1 night; a village called Monks Eleigh. It was longer than a German Shepherd dog. I didn't get a good look, though, as it was about 3am and the damned thing sprinted across the road in front of me.

By the way it moved, it was definitely a cat.

YES! he is sure. HE (HIMSELF) wouldn't make a fool of himself. Even though he does it all the time otherwise.

3am, no-one around, quiet country lane, what could be a panther on the loose - oh yeah, I'm stupid enough to get out of the bloody car and look for tracks!
