A new naked eye comet McNaught should be visable around dawn for the next few days if it survives the trip around the back of the Sun.

Here's a picture of comet c/2006 P1 Mc Naught that I took on 10th January 2007 at 17:17
I used a Canon EOS350D camera and a 200mm lens the exposure was 1/15sec at F 5.6
The image loaded is a small part of the actual picture because of file size restrictions here
The comet was very bright then almost as bright a Venus which was quite near to it in the sky
The picture was taken jost off the A361 near Knowstone at the edge of Exmoor in Devon UK

Congratulations, I looked out for it but I have mostly a combination of cloud cover and town lights here.
I take it it is now only viewable from the southern hemisphere so I will ask my son in Brisbane to look out for it.
