When you talk about the structure of earth, everyone simple says core, mantle & crust. If what we walk on is the crust then where is sky? Can anyone answer that 4 me. it is this picture in wikipedia that got me thinking.

On that scale the our atmosphere is a paper thin layer of gas too small to be shown in the diagram. that's why it's so easy to muck it up there really isn't very much of it!
