Since the jack don't fit in the phone (music phone) is it possible to take the jacks off and trade (yeahh sawder) the big one for the small one so I'd have a comfortable headphone for the cell? Woudl that work? and what if I take another headset take the headset part off of it and like plugg it into a stero? Would those combinations work?

umk, but i'm cheap paul! lol i'm gonna spend like 100 dollars on a 4 gig card and all the wires and transfer stuff lol.

You also have to bear in mind that it is possible the headphones for the CD player will have a different impedance to that expected by the phone. Can't say if this is so, but if this is the case, it will definitely effect the quality of sound you will hear through it, and could potentially (although, in reality, it would be unlikely) damage the equipment.
On the other hand, if you rewire the plugs on the headset, and you happen to create a short in the wiring, you have a high probability of causing damage to equipment. An adaptor jack would certainly eliminate the risk of creating a short, although it will do nothing for impedance matching (you need a transformer to do that).
As for 'trading' the jacks, I suspect that if you look carefully, you will see that the present jack is probably moulded onto the wire, so once you cut it off it will be useless to anybody (you will need a more expensive jack that is designed to be taken apart and put back together, and you will need one of them so you can add the plug onto the cable after you have chopped off the moulded jack).

True, but i have never come across it. My experience is that phones and CD player headphones are the same and interchangeable.
