Two objects may interact directly (collision) or indirectly (field interaction). The forces associated with a binary interaction may be represented as vectors. The interaction may be represented as a vector product (cross, dot, or dyad). The forces of indirect interaction may be separated into primary forces (interaction between an object and the continuum, resulting in a field) and a secondary force (interaction between fields).
The Compton Effect is an example of direct interaction. The Newton and Coulomb equations represent indirect interactions. The Plank-Schwarzschild interaction is also an indirect interaction.
