on the news last night the squirells of north america near places like ohio etc. Thier disease is something close to west nile...thats not good

The only way you could get it is if it was rabid and bit other wise worry about mosquitos.

Does it have to bite or just be close.. sounds like it is spread through saliva or blood to you know which or is it viral?

yes they really need to spray for mosquitos by my house. there's a really big pond right across the street and at night you can see the mosquitos waiting to attack! however they also said west nile virus will have a greater effect on senior citizens and little children, so i think i might not have to worry.

Squirrels are largely harmless to humans (although they can harbour some diseases, but no more than any other wild animal); but they can be extremely destructive to property (having squirrels invade your home can leave you with massive repair bills).
