Title: Is human food bad for dogs?
Post by: cheryl j on 10/02/2013 04:24:20
I have friends who freak out if you feed their dog people food because they say it's bad for dogs. (My border collie lived 16 years and loved pizza.) A recent issue of Nature discusses the dog genome and says that so far the genes that separate wolves and dogs have to do with behavior and the ability to digest starches. I just thought that was interesting.

See the discussion from last week.

Find a list of what not to feed a dog (grapes, raisins, chocolate, etc).  Then it should be ok to feed them most everything else.

There are some dogs with a protein intolerance, and are fed vegetables and carrots.
