Title: Do chickens with their heads cut off really run around for 2 minutes?
Post by: Seany on 09/07/2007 18:19:46
True or false??

[???]

I think that it does move.. Because of the nervous system or something, and it flinches every now and then. But I don't think it'll run around..

Real answer anyone?

er, we did this not too long ago as well......it's true, and there was a chicken who lived for months too.

Speaking a expert supervisor of chicken butchering I am here to confirm to you that Yes! Indeedy they DO run around with their heads cut off until they bleed to death.. So sad!

I have been present for the butchering of several thousand chickens over the years.. It is a nasty business!

I heard that a swan whose head is cut off can still fly.

An ironic thread on which to practice necromancy.
Why do you do it?

Because there is no rule against necro-posting, and my post isn't out of topic either.

Definitely yes! I've seen them doing it but it's nothing great to see seeing them running around like that
