Mr Little asked the Naked Scientists:
Hi,
I just wanted to know why have I got hair growing on my nose? Not in, on!
I keep having to pluck them and is there any way i can get rid of them permanently?
Be very grateful if you could get back to me. thanks.
Mr Little
What do you think?

As the human race has evolved the need for hair all over our bodies has become unnecessary, so it doesn't grow in some places. The small pores however can still be found on every single one of us and occasionally these pores will start to grow. The only way I know of permanently preventing hair return is the laser treatment which will work.
