You're thinking of a merry go round? I understand it is frame dependent? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-inertial_reference_frame. On the other tentacle, isn't everything that acts on me real? It won't matter if the Coriolis force is real or not, for the water getting drained. Me looking at it will see the same thing, no matter to what I define it. A little like discussing if gravity is a force or not.
