Title: How does diet affect chemotherapy?
Post by: Pearl on 05/10/2008 11:05:20
Pearl asked the Naked Scientists:

Why is it that when someone is diagnosed with cancer, a dietician does not prescribe the eating of special food.  Instead they always say, eat a balanced diet.

You don't have to stop meat, alcohol etc.? Are there foods a patient should stop or start eating during treatment?  Why do some supplements interfere with chemotherapy?

What do you think?

Really There is no Food/Drink That you cannot eat/drink but it depends what type of cancer and how much chemotherpy whomever is going through.

If there is any food/drink that you are not aloud your doctor will consult you.
However if you are really worried just ask your doctor.
