As a sheepy, I am of course always interested in things gravitorial...
..here I am defying it !!

As soon as Gerty walks under me I'm gonna sheepy poop all over her....guffaw guffaw chortle snark !!
errhmm...anyway !!
Gravity is my all time favourite force thingy that keeps ewe and me attached to things like planets and stuff !!
So, now that I have discovered the true shape of the Earth ....

I'd like to know the gravity implications upon me and ewe should we travel in all points of it. Would we notice a discernible difference in weight as we did the world tour ?
Could (albeit unlikely) an Earth sized Earth exist as a cube ?
Demonstrate some gravitas...and elaborate away !
whajafink ?

When I was at school in the fourties we were taught that a projectile shot from the Earth would move in a parabolic path which of course it would if the Earth was flat but as the Earth is spherical it moves in an elliptical path.
I could never convince my teachers, good job they did not work for NASA.

What a precocious child.
Why didn't you just accept it?
Independent thought can be annoying in a young person, you know.
Incidentally, apart from the fact that it would collapse into a spheroid fairly soon, the corners would not have oceans over them, they would be eight huge mountains, in effect and the water would take up a spherical shape round the middle.

Thank ewe both for your kind answers ?
Why would it collapse into a spheroid ?

How would gravity behave if it was confirmed that the Earth is flat sitting on the back of a turtle ?.

Although not quite a square world the Roseta satellite has revealed the Stein asteroid to approximate to one with sharp corners.
