Title: Why do people enjoy a hot bath, but not hot air?
Post by: thedoc on 09/04/2013 09:30:03
Jenny Yoneji asked the Naked Scientists:

Hi,

Can you tell me why people can enjoy a 103 degree hot tub, but swelter in 103 degree heat?

Thank you.

Jenny Yoneji

What do you think?

In a hot room you can usually sweat to lose heat. In a hot bath, or even a sauna, this option is limited.
