Title: What would happen if all window blinds suddenly disappeared?

Say we wake up one morning only to learn that every window blind on earth has disappeared. Could the world continue to function? How would we cope?

Well it seemed to function quite well before they existed, so why not after their cessation?

Of greater interest would be the questions why and how they disappeared. With no examples in existence it might also be asked whether they had ever existed or were merely a figment of an under active imagination!
