Hair (head) normally grows from 1/2 inch to 1 inch per month.

my nails grew alot faster when i bit them now ivw stopped they grow much slower but much stronger is there a good reason for this?
also my hair grows very fast according to my barber 1 inch plus per month in winter and closer to 2 inches per month in summer is ther a reason for the seasonal change?
Interesting, no the other thing... tedious.

Does hair really grow quicker/coarser when it's been cut ?...I always thought it was just a fallacy...

I think there's some kind of signal that slows growth when hair/nails reach a certain length. I imagine this is genetic. My physiology book is buried in the closet so I can't go verify that. I may just be making stuff up.

Yes there is. Read topic: "Cause of grey hair"... I added a link there which also provides an answer to the question of [hair] growth cycle.

Ye apparently hair only grows to a certain length and then falls out though. That length is generally longer than the length most people have it at. All your hair is like at different lengths. OOO you know nails....... they are made outa the same stuff as ur hair!

There may be, but I remember an old codger near the university who would wave his filthy six-inch nails at people to intimidate them into giving him a few cents.
