A link between air pollution exposure during pregnancy and subsequent childhood behavioural problems has been revealed by a US-based study.

Weird. Isn't the placenta supposed to provide a barrier between the fetus and the nasty world outside?

My entire generation, and several before, were subjected to the famous London fog, so you would expect those born in winter to be better behaved than those born in summer, and all of us to be persistent offenders. But I don't see the evidence.

What is plain is that those born in inner cities nowadays are more likely to have poor or unhealthy parents. My suspicion is that this is a "class" effect  that correlates with air pollution.
