what does haploid and diploid mean. I get confused...

they are cells.. haploid has one set of chromosomes, diploid has two. You can remember this a couple of ways.. diploid di = two... or haploid - h = half (the number of chromosomes)

I find it quite funny that i forgot because i really should have known. lol
