Good joke. Actually, Al never said that he invented the internet. This claim was made up by political opponents in order to make fun of him. In actual fact, as vice pres, he pushed congress to provide most of the monetary support for the actual inventors in order to make it happen. A few years back, Al was honored by the real internet inventors in a big public ceremony. He didn't invent it, but he was instrumental in making it happen. Say thanks.

I admit it may have been a rather cheap shot. The question is, how long will it take to percolate up to late night TV?
