Can you help me identifying this green rock?
I think it is peridotite
It is extremely strong
both core and hand specimen samples are wet.
Location: 38 Q 210386 2080329 UTM-WGS84

If it is peridotite, it has been altered (changed) by some combination of pressure, heat and hydrothermal fluids. Based on the photo, I would call the hand specimen serpentinite. The drill core is brecciated with what looks like quartz veining.

Out of curiosity, is this from the Oman ophiolite.
