Title: subscribing to a thread fails?
Post by: JnA on 17/06/2009 11:51:35
I have the settings right that if I post in a thread I 'subscribe' to it. So when I go to 'my posts' I can see when people have added to that thread. Sometimes there seems to be a bug where if the thread has been inactive for a while (say a few weeks) then a person makes a new post in that thread it does not show up in 'my posts'..  is this a forum bug or a JnA bug?

I think it is us as I have the same problem and I think I figured it out.
When the topic reminders come to our email boxes we Normally click them to view the reply... but the last month I did not as I was not well and if you read your notification, it tells you if you do not reply to that specific notification, that no further notifications will be sent... so in essence if you delete it without going to view it... it basically cancels your request.

That is what I have found it to do if I delete it and go straight to the forum by way of address bar instead of link in notification?

I don't have the email notification ticked... but that may be part of the problem...  thanks Karen.
