It will have absolutely no effect on the gravity of the earth but the small reduction in the net attraction due to the rotation of the earth at the equator will make things a bit heavier ( 0.3 % ) there and there is a slight effect on the direction of "vertical" between the equator and the poles.
Although it is not part of the question it would have a big effect on air circulation and climate because of the absence of the Coriolis effect.
