Dearest All,
Hugs ya !!
Here's a telescope in space called Hubble !
[ Invalid Attachment ]
Nice eh ?....being delivered next Tuesday !
Say Hubble checks out what's happening on a nearby star....say Aplha Centuari !
How many years does it knock off when viewed at like this ?
Do you know what I mean ?
We see things on Earth with our eyes that the light has taken many years to reach....but if we take a closer look through a telescope are we seeing it a few years earlier ?....
I've got this all wrong haven't I ?......cos I'm confusing just zooming in with actually being nearer the star yes ?
Oh...bother !!
Hugs anyway

It takes light about 1.3 seconds to travel from the moon to the Earth.
So when you (on Earth) look at the moon you are seeing it as it was 1.3 seconds ago.
This is true whether you use the naked eye, or look at it through a telescope.

How long does it take the Hubble to transmit the image to earth?

How long does it take the Hubble to transmit the image to earth?
Approximately two milliseconds: it is only 600Km above surface of the Earth.

Then add an hour or so for the data to get through the virus scan ;-)

Why has it only got one wheel?

Why has it only got one wheel?
A Scouser nicked the other 3 [:D]

Are ewe sure it's a wheel ?
I think it's because Hubble has subscribed to Sky +
Thank ewe all for your answers !!
