I know alot about einstien but does anyone know what made him so famous?[?]
God Bless You
-
It's Me again!!!
Einstein was famous for lots of things to do with Physics and the cosmos.
One of his most famous equations for instance, e=mc2 is known worldwide virtually. (though not many people know what it actually means)
The equation when wrote as words is: Energy = Mass * Speed of light Squared.
From this you can work out how much energy is contained in say a pound of lead or something.
He also came up with load of ground breaking ideas about time, stating that time is no absolute but depends upon the observers movement in space and vice-versa.
Using Maths, he proved that as you go faster time slows down and space gets squashed up.
He also proved that you cannot moved faster than the speed of light due to the fact that the energy required to move at that speed would weigh so much it would slow the object down.
Then there are his theories of relativity, General and special. Of these I am not sure about the finer points but I am sure someone else can enlighten me?
Anyway he did quite a lot for Physics put it that way!
I Love Caesium!!!

He also married his cousin (his second marriage).
-
He was just testing some genetic theories.

Sweet now I have an excuse (other than being from the uppermidwest!) [;)]

I'm in a relationship with my cousin.
-
really? are you serious or being facicious? Regardless my roomate freshman year in college was from a small farming community and he was dating a girl whom he was distantly related to. I've also had cousins of mine (also from small towns) who had "different views on the subject" than I do.
This is a signature.... AND YOU WILL LIKE IT!!

Some of the wealthy families, like the Rothchilds, routinely marry cousins to maintain control of the money.
-
Yeah, apparently they aren't too privy on their world history. look what happened to the royal families of 19th century europe!!!
Either that or they can just hire good genetic counselors with all their money. Can you imagine that though? "I'm marrying you not just because you're my cousin, but bacause we statistically shouldn't have mutant-freak children.
I'm sure they're real loving relationships.

Well I was just checking the reaction. Bruce and I are not blood relatives. When Bruce was young his mother married my father's cousin. Technically we are third cousins (I think).
That being said, I think that if two people love each other they should be together even if they are cousins, but I think having children with a cousin is a bad idea.
-
I can agree with that ( [;)]especially since I have a very hot cousin![8D])

Where I'm from (Arkansas, USA) it used to be quite common to marry into one's own family. That's why we have so many people there who show a strong resemblance to Exodus' posts.

Mr. Fly, I'm not surprised you found someone like that in Wal-Mart (or maybe they found you). Of course, their interest probably fell off rapidly when they heard your foreign accent!
What part of AR did you visit?

We were backpacking in the ozarks national forest (hurricane wilderness area mainly) and stopped in a few towns on the outskirts for suplies on our way in and our way out. And I'm not forgien!!! I'm ALMOST from canada, but not quite!

Anyone from north of the Mason Dixon line is foreign! If you don't believe me, just ask some of those Wal-Mart locals - they'll tell ya - if they don't shoot ya first! [}:)]

Einstein and his cousin/wife were a brilliant couple at physics, looking into more than what appeared profitable. They had children, one was schizophrenic and violent. This drama was made worse because the marriage broke up since Albert was always attending conferences and probably lecturing... Einstein is famous for his part in the bomb and the course of WW2. He decided to apply it to use in Japan. Or at least recommended it. He was Jewish. Apparently he was dyslexic.

I don't think he reccomended it being used in Japan... or at all... those were other people's ideas. As far as I know he didn't even design the bomb, just came up with the science to make it possible.
And those wal-mart hotties didn't seem to mind our forgien accents, they just seemed amazed that we had all of our teeth. [:D]

Einstein played a role in the development of the atomic bomb, but it was actually not a very large role scientifically. He was very much a pacificist and did not recommend the use of the Bomb. He did however understand the danger that would arise if Hitler got the Bomb before the Allies, and was instrumental in the politics of pursuing the development by the Allies.
Scientifically, Einstein was working on Relativity theory, not quantum mechanics. QM was the driving science behind the Bomb. Einstein never really accepted QM as being a viable theory.

I thought it was his first wife who was good at physics, not his second (cousin). Not sure which one of the ladies had his children either.
